“I am so grateful that you believed in the importance
of my dream to become a better writer.”

Did you know that The Highlights Foundation offers a number of scholarships to our programs? Thanks to our scholarship program, each year we are able to help 100 artists and writers grow their skills and hone their craft.

In addition to our General Scholarship Funds, we have a number of Named Funds honoring those who have had a significant impact on children’s literature. In addition, some funds have been donated in honor of loved ones. Scholarship applications are accepted and reviewed on a monthly basis. Each month, the scholarship committee reviews applications and awards funds. The scholarship committee awards full and partial scholarships. Learn more and apply here.

“Thank you for the opportunity and privilege of attending this workshop. The experience has far exceeded expectations and given me many tools to continue pursuing and championing diversity in writing. All this would not have been possible without the Foundation’s generous contribution.”
