Bill Fisher’s Picture Book, Hope and Freckles: Fleeing to a Better Forest, is now is Spanish!

“In 2020 I launched my first Children’s Picture Book, “Hope and Freckles: Fleeing to a Better Forest.”  Written for the 7 to 10-year-old reader, but a story for the 7 to 97-year-old, my story follows a mother deer, Hope, and her spotted little fawn, Freckles, as they have to flee from their home forest in search of a new forest where they will be safe, find food, etc.  I decided to use anthropomorphic figures rather than humans as I didn’t want to traumatize the reader.  The book was launched right in the middle of COVID. I had a number of B&N stores in the New York Metro area where I was to do an author’s presentation. I also had several schools where I was to do an Author’s visit, all of these bookings were canceled due to COVID.  So, I had to learn how to use Zoom for virtual presentations.  From the first idea about writing a book through the entire process, it has been an intensive learning experience for a septuagenarian. On February 1, 2022, a Spanish-language version of my book was released.  “Esperanza y Pecas: Huyendo Dacia un bosque mejor” is now available online and also via B&N stores, Books a Million, etc.  Below is a file with the cover of the new book.” Bill Kiley
