This practical workshop will teach you a variety of tools for revision, to use when fixing the big problems or polishing up a manuscript. There will be handouts, resource lists, and, if there’s time, some hands-on work. 2 hours. This event will be recorded and up for thirty days. Only one submission opportunity for an attendee.
BIO
About me and the work I do: I’m a children’s book editor, now working at Kane Press as Executive Editor after a mini-career as a consulting or independent editor, writing and revision teacher, and workshop/retreat and online class presenter (mostly via my partnership with Eileen Robinson, Kid’s Book Revisions). I have had to cut back on my freelance editorial work but will continue to speak at conferences and give workshops. Previously, I was Vice President and Editorial Director at ipicturebooks. Before that, I was editorial director of the Charlesbridge trade program, and have also worked at Orchard Books and Macmillan.
I am the author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Publishing Children’s Books, now in its third edition.
